What were some of the symptoms of the Plague???

Some of the many symptoms of the plague were lots of painful swelling of the lymph nodes. Did you know they could get the swelling to get to the size of an egg?!?! That's crazy!!! Also There could be black spots on your skin. And you could have high fevers, and chillls, and your muscle could ache.
Even sometimes you could feel very exhausted, like you just got done running a race. But I think the worst part would be having a gross, and horrible smell to you, because sometimes if you had the plague you could smell very bad!!! But this is just some of the symptoms of the most common plague. With all three different kinds of plague, had different kinds of symptoms. But usually the symptoms were very similar.
Now I think the picture to the right is just GROSS!!! But that's what it looked like if you had the plague!

Was there different kinds of the plague????

Did you know there is three different kinds of the plague?!?! The first kind of plague is the bubonic plague. The second kind of plague is the pneumonia plague. The third kind is the septicemic plague. But the bubonic plague was the most common out of all three.
The bubonic plague took about seven to eight days to die. Now that would very scary to know that you have only seven to eight days to live!!!!! With the pneumonia plague it took about less then two days to die. Okay, that would be way more scary then to know you only have seven days to live!! With the septicemic plague took less than a day to die. I change my mind this is way worse than to know you have two, or seven days to live!!!!

How did you get infected with the plague???

You were infected with plague bacteria that lived in your blood. For most of the time only rats had the plague. But in some years, plague levels were increasing rapidly!!!!! The rats were infested with fleas that survived by sucking the blood of the infected rats.
EWWW!!!!!!! That's gross, but true! The fleas sucked up some of the plague bacteria, which multiplied in the fleas gut. The fleas also bit humans, which gave the horrible disease to the humans. After that happened the medieval people who had the Back Death gave it to other medieval people. The plague bacteria multiplied In the infected peoples bloodstream even faster then it did in the fleas guts. don't you just love learning about guts and rats and fleas?!?! I know I do!(: But it all has to do with the Black Death!! The Picture to the right is a picture of how you got infected with the plague!!

I would have been  sooooo scared!!!:p  The medieval people had aboustly no effective medicine or treatments for the Black Death! Don't you feel really bad for the people who got the Black death?!?!
